A jewelry and watch exhibition is returning to Basel.
Basel, Switzerland’s third-largest city, is recognized as the country’s official cultural capital. It boasts a unique location in the northwest, situated precisely at the junction of three national borders: Switzerland, Germany, and France.
For many years, the city hosted Baselworld—the premier global event for the watch and jewelry industry. However, the final traditional edition took place in March 2019; the event was subsequently suspended due to the pandemic and ultimately ceased to exist.
Now, a major international B2B event is officially returning to Basel.
The exhibition will be held from April 8 to 11, 2027, at the Messe Basel exhibition center.
The organizers emphasize that this project is not a replica of Baselworld. The "Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair" is an entirely new initiative, designed with contemporary realities and requirements in mind. The focus is on accessibility: rather than massive, extravagant stands, the event prioritizes creating affordable participation options for smaller companies.
The exhibition aims to connect jewelry manufacturers, gemstone suppliers, and watch brands. It is envisioned as an intercontinental event—a bridge between East and West.
