Portugal has released a series of commemorative coins "Músicos Portugueses".
Last week, a coin dedicated to the famous Portuguese actress and singer Simone de Oliveira was presented.
She represented Portugal twice at the Eurovision Song Contest with the songs "Sol de Inverno" in 1965 and "Desfolhada Portuguesa" in 1969.
The commemorative coin with a face value of 5 euros was designed by illustrator André Carrilho.
The coin is issued in a limited edition of 30,000 pieces in cupronickel with a normal finish, 3,000 pieces in silver with a special numismatic "proof" finish and 1,500 pieces in gold also with a "proof" finish.
Simone de Oliveira was present at the presentation of the coin, which took place at the Casa do Artista (Apoiarte).
