The Municipal Museum of Filigree in Gondomar has been awarded by the Portuguese Association of Filigree

The Municipal Museum of Filigree in Gondomar has been awarded the 2025 Portuguese Museums Association APOM Award.

The nomination is under the exclusive competence of the APOM 2025 Award Jury and aims to highlight themes related to museology and society, contributing to the improvement of museum institutions and the professionals who work in them. <

The Special Award highlights the contribution of the Gondomar Museum of Filigree to the preservation of cultural heritage, namely the preservation and promotion of the unique Portuguese art of filigree jewellery.

The award ceremony took place on June 2nd at the Cineteatro Louletano in Loulé, during a gala session attended by the most distinguished professionals and institutions in the field of museology in Portugal.

The São Pedro da Cova Mining Museum was also awarded the APOM 2025 Award.
