Silver filigree
After the discovery and use of gold and copper, other metals appeared - tin, silver and lead.
The similarity of the properties of silver with gold led to the fact that this metal also began to be used for making jewelry and handicrafts.

Silver is a white metal, which, like gold, practically does not change in air and water. It has high ductility, malleability, corrosion resistance and is the most thermally and electrically conductive substance.
Despite its metallic luster, silver oxidizes when in contact with air, losing its characteristic color and shine.

In silver filigree products, the alloy for the casting wire is composed of silver and copper in the proportion of 95% silver and 5% copper, and in the design and execution of the frame or frame, silver alloy in the proportion of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper can be used.

The thickness of the silver wire used in filigree work should be no more than 0.22 mm.
